Bringing a practical field into the classroom

The Faculty of Information Technology at Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Jogja worked with its Informatics Student Association on an InformaTalks public lecture about artificial intelligence for healthcare. The university reported the activity on 25 April 2025.

The discussion introduced questions around diagnosis, patient data, decision support, and bioinformatics. It gave students and faculty a setting to consider how technical learning relates to healthcare problems.

An agreement and a direction for future work

The event also included a cooperation agreement signed by faculty dean Mochamad Syamsiro and Data Sorcerers founder Marchel Andrian Shevchenko. UNU Jogja described the collaboration as a connection between academic and industry perspectives.

The university outlined opportunities including research, internships, curriculum development, and joint projects. These were directions for collaboration, rather than completed outcomes reported at the signing. The agreement provides a starting point for translating those interests into defined activities.
